  2. Issue Date:2016-10-17 17:56
  3. The Mexican National Consultative Committee of Standards for the Preservation and Rational Use of Energy Resources together with the Mexican National Commission for Energy Efficiency jointly published the final approved version of the Energy Efficiency of Ductless Split Type Air Conditioners Standard NOM-026-ENER-2015 in the official gazette on 9 February 2016.

This mandatory standard defines the minimum levels of Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) and contains energy efficiency testing and labelling requirements for ductless split type air conditioners with variable refrigerant flow.

The standard is implemented on 7 August 2016 and all covered air conditioners must be certified in accordance with this standard from that date. However, products that have legally entered the country or are in the transit links before this date, will be allowed to be marketed until stock is sold out.
